JONESBORO, AR (KAIT) -

The city of Jonesboro and First Community Bank are working on a plan to build a synthetic ice skating rink in the city, officials said Thursday.

The idea will be discussed Tuesday at the Jonesboro City Council meeting. Under the proposal, the city will be responsible for the set up and operation of the rink, with no other costs to the city.

If approved by council members, the rink will be located across from Winter Wonderland, Jonesboro Communications Director Bill Campbell said.
