JONESBORO, AR (KAIT) - Loretta Pixler's family traveled to Jonesboro from Wisconsin to say their final goodbyes with many unanswered questions.
Her sister-in-law Tori Pixler said the news is still shocking from when she found out last Monday.
"I found out about this on Facebook," Tori said.
She did not believe Pixler's abduction and sudden death.
"I thought somebody was either playing a joke on Facebook, someone was messing with that, it was this just possibly can't be true," Tori said.
With so many unanswered questions, the 400-mile drive was not an easy one.
"Before we leave here, we would just like to know what happened," Tori said. "We don't know much of anything right now."
Tori told Region 8 News they are all hurting, but the one asking the most questions is Pixler's 3-year-old daughter.
"I know she's wondering where her mommy is and if we ask her, she puts her hand to her heart," Tori said. "How sad is that for a 3-year-old?"
As the family said their final goodbyes on Monday, they remain hopeful the person responsible for Loretta's abduction and death will come forward.
They are also grateful for all the love the community has shown to the whole family.
Everyone talked about how wonderful of a person Loretta was Monday.
"She would give you the shirt off her back if she could," Loretta's neighbor Wendy Solis said. "She was very friendly and not scared of nothing. This is so sad and tragic what happened to her."
"She seemed like she had a good outlook on life," family friend Chris Vowell said. "Just a real nice person all-in-all."
The family asks lasting memorials be made to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital in Memphis.
