2 men arrested on burglary, stealing charges in MO

STEELE, MO (KAIT) -

Two days, two arrests made in a related incident.

Steele Police Chief Billy Joe Stanfield states in a news release 23-year-old William Cook was arrested Friday, Sept. 30, and 23-year-old Jordan Johnson was arrested the following day. Cook had attempted to run from police, but he was caught after a short pursuit. 

Both men are from Steele and had active warrants in Pemiscot County charging them with first-degree burglary and felony stealing.

The chief states the arrests are the result of an investigation into a home burglary from Aug. 23. The victim was inside the home during the crime, according to Stanfield.

Cook and Johnson were booked into the Pemiscot County Jail on $150,000 and $100,000 bonds, respectively.
