GREENE COUNTY, AR (KAIT) -

Separate crashes Tuesday morning in Greene County left two people injured, including one woman who had to be flown to the hospital.

The first crash happened near the intersection of Old Walcott Road and Tech Drive, according to Curtis Davenport, chief of the Greene County Rescue Squad.

GCRS had to extricate a woman who had crashed into a ditch. The victim was taken to the Greene County Tech practice field where she was airlifted from the scene.

As the rescue squad left the scene, they were called to another single-vehicle crash on Highway 412 where a man’s Dodge pickup truck ran off the road and struck a tree.

Officers shut down the eastbound lanes of traffic while emergency crews worked to free him.

No word on the extent of either victim’s injury.
