U.S. Marshals have arrested a Blytheville man wanted for rape

BLYTHEVILLE, AR (KAIT) - Oct. 13 UPDATE: U.S. Marshals have arrested a Blytheville man wanted for rape.

Agents arrested Duan Harris at a home in Memphis around 9 a.m. Thursday after Blytheville police received a tip he was at a relative's home.

Police expect Harris will be extradited to Mississippi County within a few days to face arraignment on rape charges.

Blytheville police are looking for a man in connection to a reported beating and sexual assault of a woman over the weekend.

According to Detective Scott Adams with the Blytheville Police Department, officers are searching for Duan Harris. Adams said Harris attacked and sexually assaulted a 29-year old woman.

Adams said Harris should be considered armed and dangerous.

Adams also said Harris is a suspect out of Craighead County on another rape case. Court documents show he failed to appear at his court proceeding and a warrant was issued for his arrest in early September 2016.
