GREENE COUNTY, AR (KAIT) -

Employees at the Greene County Sheriff’s Department are sporting pink in honor of Breast Cancer Awareness month.

Deputies are wearing pink badges and shirts with a pink ribbon around the department's logo.

The staff has been wearing t-shirts and pink bracelets to honor survivors.

Deputy John Jenkins said he feels it's important to show victims they're not fighting alone.

“Any way that you can show support for someone that needs help, definitely a positive effect even for you and your life,” Jenkins said.

This is the second year the department has decided to wear pink badges during the month of October.
