BLYTHEVILLE, AR (KAIT) -

Students at Blytheville Middle School are redesigning their restrooms to make them feel more like home.

According to Assistant Principal Louise Davis, students created 3D bathroom designs out of paper for a group project.

Eight groups were chosen as winners.

The designs will come to life in each restroom.

Davis said the project empowers students to create something they can call their own.

“It’s really amazing,” Skyler Simmons, a 7th grader said. “You would never think whatever you do on paper could come right to life.”

Simmons, one of the winners, said she cannot wait to see each restroom completed.

Several businesses donated money and products for the school to continue the project.

Anyone interested in volunteering should contact Blytheville Middle School at (870) 762-2983.
