Puerto Rico Classic moved to Las Vegas due to Zika concerns

JONESBORO, AR (KAIT) - The 2016 Puerto Rico Classic has been moved from Puerto Rico to Las Vegas, Nevada over concerns of the Zika virus, according to Sports Tours International, the company hosting the tournament.

The Lady Red Wolves are scheduled to play in this tournament.

The tournament will still be held on Dec. 19-21.

A-State is still scheduled to play Kennesaw State, Northern Kentucky, and California during the three-day tournament, but the game times have changed.

A-State will play Kennesaw State at 2 p.m. on Dec. 19, Northern Kentucky at 4:15 p.m. on Dec. 20, and California at 11:15 p.m.on Dec. 21.

It will be held at the South Point Arena on Las Vegas Boulevard.

Sports Tours International also hosts the San Juan Shootout, which has been moved out of Puerto Rico to Daytona Beach, Florida.
