CRAIGHEAD COUNTY, AR (KAIT) -

A Craighead County Sheriff’s Department deputy arrested a man Wednesday who was found naked in a someone’s yard.

According to the incident report, Deputy Dustin Norwood responded to County Road 995 in reference to a naked man in the complainant’s backyard.

He found 41-year-old Christopher Scott Pittman laying in the grass.

While taking Pittman back to his patrol unit, Deputy Norwood said he became passive and made himself dead weight against the deputy, according to the report.

Residents who live in the area told Deputy Norwood that their sheds and vehicles had been broken into. One victim also said Pittman stole his vehicle.

The original complainant said he saw Pittman get into the woman’s car, drive it down the road, then crash into some bushes.

The deputy went to some of the houses and noticed there was damage at them.

Pittman is charged with felonies for theft of a vehicle valued at $5,000 or less but greater than $1,000 and criminal mischief. He is also charged with a misdemeanor for indecent exposure.
