FORREST CITY, AR (KAIT) -

The Forrest City Police Department is investigating the suspicious death of a woman found dead in her home.

According to the Criminal Investigations Division of the police department, officers found Diane Winters Turner, 50, of Forrest City with gunshot wounds in her home this week in the 400-block of Lake Street.

Officers received a phone call from someone claiming Turner had been shot.

When officers arrived, they took Turner’s husband, Frank Turner, 60, into custody on charges of possession of a firearm by a certain person. Detectives told Region 8 News that Frank Turner was arrested on charges not related to his wife’s death.

Turner is being held in the St. Francis County Jail on a $100,000 bond pending his court appearance.
