JONESBORO, AR (KAIT) - Plans have changed for a few families making trips of a lifetime to destinations in the path of Hurricane Matthew.
Make-A-Wish Communications Manager Amanda Wiig said Friday that travel plans for some Mid-South families were impacted by the storm.
She said one family staying in Orlando returned home Friday before the storm barreled up the Florida coast.
Another family is on a Disney Cruise as part of their wish. Wiig said Disney Cruise Lines is working to reroute the ship to a safer dock. They are also expected to be home on Friday.
In addition to those families, travel plans were changed for three other families heading to Disney this weekend.
Make-A-Wish is currently working with some of the families to make alternate arrangements to get their wishes granted.
