Police to host block party for community

TYRONZA, AR - The Tyronza Police Department is hosting its annual block party this week.

According to the city's Facebook page, the event starts at 6 and runs through 10 Friday night at the park at the corner of Main and Church Streets.

There will be free hamburgers and hot dogs, while a lucky boy and girl could go home with a new bicycle.

The East Poinsett County Band will also be playing at the event, which coincides with the town's First Friday event of the month.

That event allows local arts and crafts vendors to sell items.

The town also reached a milestone Thursday as the Southern Tenant Farmer's Union Museum celebrated its 10th anniversary.

The building has been open for tours all week.
