JONESBORO, AR (KAIT) - A five-and-a-half-foot alligator and a snapping turtle are part of the "Reptiles of Arkansas" presentation happening at the 2016 Fall Family Fair hosted Saturday at the Forrest L. Wood Crowley's Ridge Nature Center.
"There's games, door prizes, lots of stuff for the kids," Shaun Merrell, facilities director, said. "This Saturday is our big event. It's our Fall Family Fair. We've got a ton of stuff going on."
The fair starts at 9 a.m. and will run until 3 p.m.
Free hot dogs and chips will be served at noon and continue until they run out.
Kids can play on inflatables and other games and even get some temporary tattoos.
There's no fee for the event, thanks to support provided by the 1/8th cent Conservation Sales Tax.
