JONESBORO, AR (KAIT) - A Jonesboro woman said she was sleeping Saturday morning when a burglar slammed open her bedroom door.
The 47-year-old woman said she awoke around 1:30 a.m. when a man "flung open" her bedroom door, hitting a small table.
The woman told police she jumped up and the suspect, realizing the home in the 500-block of West Matthews was occupied, ran from the scene.
The victim described the man as being approximately 5'11" with a slender build, wearing a blue hoodie and khaki shorts or pants.
According to the initial incident report, it appeared the man kicked open the front door. An officer photographed the shoe impression and logged it into evidence.
It did not appear the man took anything.
