CABOT, AR (KAIT) -

A central Arkansas family is already in the Christmas spirit after a Grinch stole their Halloween.

According to KARK-TV, Tim and Melissa Minchue’s Cabot home was originally decked out for Halloween.

It didn’t last long, however.

The Minchues told KARK a neighbor complained on Monday about the Halloween decorations. A police officer came to their door warning them the neighbors found the decorations offensive.

They said the yard had bloody baby dolls in a cauldron, on a picnic table, and in a barbeque pit.

"I guess that's what they found so offensive," Tom Minchue told KARK-TV.

The yard now has a sign that reads, “"Apologies to our neighbors who we offended so much with our Halloween decorations that they felt the need to send a police officer to our house. Merry Christmas to you and yours.”

Minchue told KARK he’d like to apologize to the neighbor's face and hopes his display with baby Jesus doesn't offend anyone.
