Three candidates for the United States Senate debated several issues in Conway Wednesday including the tone of this year’s presidential campaign.

AETN has aired debates for the Senate as well as the state’s four congressional districts this week.

Republican incumbent Senator John Boozman was joined by challengers Democrat Conner Eldridge and Libertarian Frank Gilbert during the hour-long debate.

”The problem with Washington is that people are not willing to call out both parties and be honest,” Eldridge said.

“Mr. Trump, I am going to vote for him,” Boozman said. “And I certainly never said unconditional love by any means. If you have read our press releases, the things that come out, I have been as tough as anybody.”

“If you look at what the Senator is saying about Mrs. Clinton and what Conner is saying about Mr. Trump, I can agree on everything both said an add a pox on both their houses,” Gilbert said.

If you weren’t able to watch the debate Wednesday night, AETN will re-air it on Oct. 30 or you can click here to watch it.
