Man hospitalized after being trapped under truck

CRAIGHEAD COUNTY, AR (KAIT) - Emergency crews responded Wednesday night to a crash with entrapment.

According to Battalion Chief Tom Johnson with the Jonesboro Fire Department, the crash happened at 9:53 p.m. on Craighead County Road 780, off of Highway 141.

Johnson said a man driving a blue Dodge pickup truck lost control and flipped over on the side of the road.

When the truck flipped, it landed on the driver.

Another truck driving along the road stopped and used his vehicle to push the truck off of the victim, according to Johnson.

When fire crews got on scene, they finished getting the man out from underneath his truck.

The man was taken by ambulance to St. Bernards with unknown injuries.

Crews from the Jonesboro Fire Department, Philadelphia Fire Department, Craighead County Sheriff's Department, and Jonesboro Police Department all responded to the scene.
