JONESBORO, AR (KAIT) - Police are trying to do their part to limit crashes in Jonesboro's "hot zones."
Information released by Jonesboro police to Region 8 News listed statistics for crashes during JPD's second shift.
According to Jonesboro police, they worked 89 more crashes thus far than they did in 2015. Most of the crashes are taking place between 4 p.m. and 6:30 p.m.
Caraway Road, Highland Drive, Red Wolf Boulevard, Southwest Drive and the Parker/ Harrisburg area have all been identified as hot zones.
"Those areas have been identified by our study of the data that our crime analysis division does," Public Information Officer Paul Holmes. "In those areas, where there's a lot of traffic, there are a lot of accidents occurring."
