FBI investigating after power poles shot

CRAIGHEAD COUNTY, AR (KAIT) -

Some Craighead Electric Cooperative customers lost power on Saturday after someone shot power lines down.

According to a Craighead Electric Facebook post, somebody shot at poles and insulators in the Lunsford area.

Craighead Electric said this is a very a dangerous situation. Under federal law, it is an act of terrorism. 

Crews were able to restore power to the area Saturday.

The FBI is now assisting with the investigation. 

Justin Etter with Craighead Electric Cooperative said there is a $1,000 reward being offered for information leading to an arrest in the case. 

If anyone has any information on who caused the damage, call the sheriff's office or Craighead Electric.
