Broken chain led to shots fired at teen holding child, suspect wanted

BLYTHEVILLE, AR (KAIT) -

A teenager told police the father of her child shot at her and their child following some horseplay. Now police are searching for him.

Blytheville police are looking for D'Marcus Black, 19, for aggravated assault on a family or household member, according to Captain Scott Adams, Criminal Investigation Division Commander.

The incident reportedly happened on Sept. 21. 

The juvenile victim told police officers Black shot at her while she was holding their child.

She added that she and Black were "playing around" when the teen accidentally broke his chain. Black became mad, pulled out a small pistol and began shooting.

Adams did not list any injuries in the news release.
