County clerk offers information on early voting, polling places

JONESBORO, AR (KAIT) -

With Election Day just a few weeks away, Craighead County Clerk Kade Holliday wants to ensure voters know how and where to vote.

The deadline to register expired on Oct. 11; however, recently relocated residents already registered in Arkansas have until Nov. 4 to move their registration to Craighead County. Holliday said Tuesday that residents can complete a new voter application at his office.

Early voting begins Monday, Oct. 24, and continues through Monday, Nov. 7. Residents can vote at the Craighead County Election Annex, 315 W. Jefferson in Jonesboro, or the Craighead County Courthouse in Lake City, 107 Cobean Blvd. Hours for early voting:

  • 8 a.m to 6 p.m. Monday-Friday, Oct.24-28 and Oct. 31-Nov. 4
  • 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 29 and Nov. 5
  • 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. Monday, Nov. 7

On Tuesday, Nov. 8, residents will cast their ballots at the following precinct polling places:

    A Paragould family is a step closer to having their miniature horses living on their property as the city discussed an ordinance that would rezone their property from residential to agriculture. The property is located in the 3,000-block of Finch Road.
