HARDY, AR (KAIT) -

A Halloween weekend event is sure to get you running to help a nonprofit.

The Pumpkin Dash is set for Saturday, Oct. 29, at 8 a.m. in Hardy.

Staci McHenry appeared on Region 8 News Midday Wednesday to share more on the event.

“We have a 6k that will start at 8 o’clock,” McHenry said. “We have a 5k that will start 50 minutes later at 8:50, and then we have a 4k that will start at 9:30.”

McHenry said it gives participants an opportunity to get an extra wear out of their Halloween costumes.

“You don’t have to wear your costume, but costumes are fun,” McHenry said.

There are prizes for the winners of each division. Prizes include a Yeti Rambler cup, $25 in cash, and a massage.

All the money raised goes to support the Rock this House Women’s Conference in Ash Flat.

McHenry said the conference is centered around Christ.
