Bono woman accused of dirty deeds with boy in shower

JONESBORO, AR (KAIT) - A Bono woman faces charges after police say she sexually assaulted a boy in a shower.

On July 1, Investigator Rebecca Cunningham with the Arkansas State Police Family Protection Unit contacted Detective Joe Robinson of the Jonesboro Police Department.

Cunningham said a witness reported 25-year-old Haley Nicole Freeman had sexual intercourse with a 15-year-old boy in her home.

That same day Robinson contacted the witness who said the boy "got into her whiskey" on June 30 and became intoxicated to the point of vomiting on himself.

The witness said after putting the boy in the shower, she left him alone in the bathroom to get something.

When she returned, the witness said Freeman was "naked in the shower" with the victim.

The woman said she told Freeman to get out of the shower and "told her not to do that."

The witness then left the bathroom again. When she came back, according to the initial incident report, Freeman was naked in the shower again.

According to the witness, Freeman said in a "suggestive manner" that she had "cleaned him [the boy] from head to toe."

The witness said later that night, while the boy was on the couch, Freeman crawled on top of him and began making advances.

The woman said she once again told Freeman to stop.

That same night the witness said she woke up and found Freeman and the victim alone in her bedroom.

Robinson spoke with the victim's mother who "was not sure if she wanted to pursue charges against the suspect."

The victim's mother claimed her son had said the sex was "consensual."

The mother said she had stopped the victim and Freeman from talking to each other.

Robinson noted in his report that the mother "did not seem concerned" and seemed "reluctant to help in this investigation."

On July 6, Robinson attempted to contact Freeman by phone. The number was disconnected.

Sixteen days later, the detective went to Freeman's listed address but was unable to make contact.

Craighead County District Court Judge Keith Blackman then issued a bench warrant for Freeman's arrest.

On Wednesday, Oct. 19, a Jonesboro police officer arrested Freeman at a location in the 1500-block of Links Circle and took her to the Craighead County Detention Center for a probable cause hearing.

Freeman is charged with fourth-degree sexual assault.
