JONESBORO, AR (KAIT) - No tricks here. There will be a new administrator over the Craighead County Detention Center by Halloween.
Craighead County Sheriff Marty Boyd stated in a Thursday news release that Capt. Keith Bowers will become the new jail administrator, effective Oct. 31.
Bowers, according to the sheriff, is a 30-year veteran of law enforcement and has worked in many capacities, most recently as the environmental officer. In addition, he is also a former sheriff of Independence County.
The soon-to-be former Jail Administrator Matt Hall and his wife are "starting a new chapter of their lives in Alaska," according to Boyd.
The sheriff says Hall has done an exceptional job and wishes he and his wife all the best.
