Never has there been an election with more at stake. From the race for President to Jonesboro mayor to local offices in Region 8, our future depends on all of us exercising our American right to vote.
Early voting for the November General Election started this week.
That means we, as voters, can exercise the power to put people in office, take people out of office, change laws, and we don't have to wait until election day November 8 to do it.
I'm not waiting. I'm voting early. In my television career, I've lived in several states. I must say, voting here in Region 8 was the easiest voting experience I've ever had. So, what are you waiting for?
Dale Carnegie once said, "Inaction breeds doubt and fear. Action breeds confidence and courage. If you want to conquer fear, do not sit home and think about it. Go out and get busy."
I say, get out there and vote whether that's tomorrow, the next day, or on November 8.
It's important to exercise your right. Every time you cast your ballot, you are putting your mark on history and defining the future for our state and country.
And remember: It's WE THE PEOPLE! that make this A Better Region 8.
