KENNETT, MO (KAIT) -

Kennett police are looking for at least one suspect who witnesses said broke into cars in the parking lot of Twin Rivers Regional Medical Center on Sunday night.

According to Corporal Alan Campbell with the Kennett Police Department, witnesses saw a young, black male that could either be a juvenile or young adult, breaking into a car in the parking lot of the hospital just before midnight.

Campbell said two cars were broken into at the hospital.

Both cars are small black cars with DVD players built into the car.

Nothing was stolen from the cars, but witnesses said he had wires in his hand when they yelled at him.

“He was interrupted on the second car, once he got into the window, by witnesses that were outside the ER and yelled at him,” Campbell said. “He jumped in the car with the other people and took off.”

He got into a silver 2005 Cadillac that was parked on the corner of Teaco Road and 2nd Street.

The suspect was wearing a black and gold school jacket at the time of the break-ins.

If you have any information, call Kennett police at (573) 888-4622.
