WYNNE, AR (KAIT) -

Police released new information to Region 8 News regarding an overnight shooting investigation at the Wynne Truck Plaza, 700 U.S. Highway 64.

According to Det. Billy Colvin, two black males wearing hoodies walked into the convenience store at 12:45 a.m. Thursday and demanded money from the clerk. The clerk, identified at Danny New, 40, handed over cash before he was shot five times. The suspects then left the scene.

New has been taken to the MED in Memphis, where he is in stable condition, according to the store manager.

"Danny is not only a part of Wynne Truck Plaza, but he's like part of my family so it's hitting me hard, said store owner Melinda Cameron.  "I've offered a $5,000 reward for any information leading to the capture and conviction of the two men responsible for this."

"We're going to do our best to get them and put them in jail where they belong," said Detective Billy Colvin.  "This is a senseless crime for what they took and possibly took someone's life it's not worth it."

Photos of the suspects were released on the Wynne Police Department Facebook page Thursday.

Officers are looking for a white Cadillac with dark tinted windows and gold trim around the rims of the vehicle.

If you have any information that could help police in this crime, call Wynne police at 870-238-8718.

Arkansas State Police is assisting the Wynne Police Department in the investigation.
