TRUMANN, AR (KAIT) -

UPDATE: Trumann Police Department Assistant Chief Jon Redman told Region 8 News Justin and Danielle Coleman appeared in court Friday following their arrest at a local hotel Thursday.

Asst. Chief Redman said Justin Coleman, who was a parole absconder, is in jail on a $150,000 bond. Danielle Coleman's bond was set at $25,000.

A man and woman from California who were staying in a Region 8 hotel were arrested Thursday on drug-related charges.

The Trumann Police Department received a tip that a strong odor of marijuana was coming from a room at the Days Inn.

Two officers responded to the hotel and came in contact with the people in the room. The two gave officers consent to search the room, according to Assistant Chief Jon Redman.

Inside, Asst. Chief Redman said officers found a meth pipe with residue, other drug paraphernalia, 11.8 oz of marijuana, 43 Xanax pills, and 5 dosage units of THC wax or "dab".

The two were charged with possession of a controlled substance with intent to deliver and possession of drug paraphernalia.

The Trumann Police Department has yet to release their names pending a probable cause hearing.
