JONESBORO, AR (KAIT) - The New York Institute of Technology College of Osteopathic Medicine at Arkansas State University was recently written about by the website, Good Call.
The story, written by Donna Fuscaldo, discusses the college's future, plans to alleviate a shortfall in the number of doctors and the work to attract doctors to rural areas.
The article also mentions that so-called "mini medical schools in K-12" can create a pipeline for future doctors as well.
The dean of the college, Dr. Barbara Ross-Lee, was also interviewed with Ross-Lee talking about how 50% of the first class in Jonesboro coming from the state of Arkansas.
