JONESBORO, AR (KAIT) -

Police shut down a Jonesboro street briefly Tuesday afternoon while they investigated a suspicious object.

An officer spotted the object about 1:47 p.m. on Wood Springs Road, south of the Neely Road intersection.

The officer then requested the department’s tactical robot be brought to the area to inspect it, said Paul Holmes, public information specialist for the Jonesboro Police Department.

Upon inspection, officers determined the object was a can of PVC pipe cleaner and a can of PVC pipe joint glue taped together, possibly for convenience of use.

“It is believed the cans fell off a worker’s truck and onto the road,” Holmes said.

Officers removed the cans and reopened the road to traffic at 2:12 p.m.
