Hill wins Craighead County Judge race

JONESBORO, AR (KAIT) -

It was the narrowest of margins Tuesday night as incumbent County Judge Ed Hill defeated his challenger. 

In unofficial numbers from Craighead County Clerk Kade Holliday, Hill, a Democrat, defeated Republican Jeff Presley by a 17,570 to 17,237 or 50.5 to 49.5% margin. Both candidates spent the last week or so, traveling around Craighead County and meeting voters.

Hill told Region 8 News he is thankful to serve term 4 as Craighead County Judge. 

"It feels great," Hill said. "It was a hard fought clean race. People came out, drove and voted which is a good thing. Everybody needs to get out and vote and voice their opinion and we were fortunate enough to win another term." 

Hill said he plans to continue moving forward witht he Bono Lake project and a bridge project that started last week. 

He also said several projects are in the making.
