WEINER, AR (KAIT) -

An annual event hopes to raise money to further education in a Region 8 school.

The Weiner School Children’s Endowment will host its annual fish fry and auction on Saturday, Nov. 19.

They will serve lunch takeouts as well as dinner.

Takeouts are available from 11 a.m. until 1 p.m., and dinner will be served at the Weiner School Cafeteria at 5 p.m.

The auction is set to begin at 6:30 p.m.

All the meals and auction items are based on donations only.

The money raised goes to the Weiner School Children’s Endowment.

The organization is a non-profit that helps Weiner Elementary School be a one to one school.

Being one to one means every student has a piece of technology, including laptops or tablets.

The money is also spent to help with field trips or buy supplies for classrooms.

To call ahead for takeout orders contact Erin Trotter at 870-530-2474 or Laura Wofford at 870-219-7575.
