JONESBORO, AR (KAIT) -

A Jonesboro bus driver got a busted lip after an unruly passenger refused to get off the bus.

The driver told police Wednesday one of his usual passengers became angry after he was picked up and “started to yell and cuss.”

The driver told the man if he did not stop cussing, he would have to get off, the report said.

The suspect became angrier and began to cuss more at the driver, calling him an “M-F’ing cracker.”

The driver stopped the bus at the A-State Armory and ordered the passenger off the bus. When the man refused to leave, the driver called police.

Upon hearing the victim call police, the passenger reportedly spit in the driver’s face then punched him in the mouth.

The suspect then got off the bus and ran away.

It was noted in the report that the driver had blood in his beard which appeared to come from a cut on his lip.

Another passenger corroborated the driver’s story, the report said.

The driver described the suspect as a 5’9” African-American male, weighing 150 pounds with a slender build.

If arrested, the man will face a third-degree battery charge.
