Thieves steal church sign

JONESBORO, AR (KAIT) - Call it a sign of the times, but Craighead County sheriff's deputies want to know who stole a sign from a Jonesboro church.

On Monday morning Chris James reported someone stole a sign belonging to Center Hill Missionary Baptist Church, 7341 County Road 333.

James said the last time he saw the sign was on Nov. 8. Four days later it was gone.

He asked other church members if they had possibly moved the sign, but no one knew anything about the sign's whereabouts, the incident report stated.

The sign was described as being a thick blue chloraplast sign with the church's name printed on it. It was held up with two metal poles and approximately 20 concrete blocks. James placed the sign's value at $200.

Anyone with information on its whereabouts should call the sheriff's department at 870-933-4551 or Crimestoppers at 870-935-STOP.
