JONESBORO, AR (KAIT) -

A man arrested earlier this year in connection with four gas station robberies was sentenced to 15 years in prison Tuesday.

Byron Washington Jr. was a suspect in the robberies, which happened during a weekend in April, police said.

The robberies happened at the Shell gas station on South Caraway Road, the Exxon station on West Parker Road, the Kum and Go on East Johnson Avenue and the Adoosh Mini-Mart on Gee Street.

Officers were able to use surveillance footage from the Citgo robbery to identify Washington, police said.
