Garbage collection affected by Thanksgiving holiday

JONESBORO, AR (KAIT) -

So their workers will be able to spend some time with their families this Thanksgiving, the Jonesboro Sanitation Department will not run its normal collection routes.

The department will be closed Thursday and Friday, Nov. 24-25, in observance of the holiday.

Note the changes to normal garbage collection days:

  • Monday, Nov. 21: Monday and Tuesday route collection
  • Tuesday, Nov. 22: Wednesday route collection
  • Wednesday, Nov. 23: Thursday route collection
  • Thursday, Nov. 24: Closed
  • Friday, Nov. 25: Closed
  • Monday, Nov. 28: Friday route collection
  • Tuesday, Nov. 29: Monday and Tuesday route collection
