1 killed, 1 hospitalized after crash on Hwy 91

JONESBORO, AR (KAIT) -

One woman was killed and a man was hospitalized after a crash Wednesday night. 

Emergency crews responded to an accident on Highway 91 just past the Westside School District.

Megan Holt, 26, of Cash died as a result of the crash, according to an Arkansas State Police crash report released Thursday.

Police state Holt was driving 2004 Chevrolet Malibu west on Hwy. 91 when she was hit by a Lexus vehicle heading east.

According to ASP, the Lexus ran off the road, overcorrected, and struck the Malibu.

The driver of the second vehicle, Dustin Williams of Egypt, was transported to a Memphis hospital with undisclosed injuries.

Police also state the weather conditions were clear and the road was dry at the time of the collision.

    According to Jackson County Sheriff's Captain Ricky Morales, 40-year-old Rickey D. Crawford Jr., of Tuckerman, was arrested in relation to the death of 33-year-old Amanda Michelle Crawford.
