JONESBORO, AR (KAIT) -

UPDATE: Police have released the name of the suspect arrested in a Wednesday night shooting on Paragould Drive and Prospect Road.

According to a Jonesboro police report, 24-year-old Khalid Robertson of Jonesboro was arrested for aggravated assault during the investigation.

He remains in the Craighead County Detention Center as of Thursday morning.

A fight in a yard Wednesday night led to shots being fired and one person in custody, police said.

According to Jonesboro police spokesman Paul Holmes, officers went to the intersection of Paragould Drive and Prospect Road around 7 p.m. Wednesday due to the fight.

Witnesses told police that the person responsible for firing the shots left the scene before police arrived. However, police went to an area where the person possibly was and the person was arrested.

No one was hurt but one vehicle was damaged.

The investigation into the shooting is continuing, Holmes said.
