Tuckerman Living Center under new ownership

TUCKERMAN, AR (KAIT) - The Tuckerman Living Center will soon be under new management.

Director Mitzi Milligan said that she, Tuckerman Interim Mayor Ron Koller, and Tommy Young attended the Crowley's Ridge Develop Council meeting Thursday night in Jonesboro.

The council voted unanimously to take possession of the center and also build a 40-bed facility at the location.

The residents and staff are were left speechless but thankful for the council decided to take over the facility.

"They are going to give our citizens, not just Tuckerman, but Jackson County something to be proud of," Milligan said. "This is something Tuckerman has not seen, and I think every citizen in this town should be very, very proud of the work that this administration has done.

CRDC will be investing $2.5 million in the project.
