JONESBORO, AR (KAIT) -

Jonesboro police on Thursday were looking for a burglar with an apparent sweet tooth who broke into a church earlier this week.

According to a Jonesboro police report, officers went to the True Church of Christ, 214 North Bridge Street, around 10 a.m. Wednesday about the break-in.

Officer Scott Byrd said he spoke with a church member, Debra Lakes, about what happened.

"Lakes advised that when she arrived to pick up some cakes for a bake sale, she noticed that a side door had been kicked open," Byrd said. "Lakes advised that the only thing she noticed was that some snacks were taken from a shelf."

Nothing else was taken, police said.

Police do not have a suspect but are investigating.
