Sharp County authorities looking for robbery suspect

JONESBORO, AR (KAIT) -

Sharp County authorities are looking for a man who robbed a local drug store at gunpoint on Tuesday.

According to Ash Flat police Detective Wendall Lane, authorities are searching for an armed suspect who robbed the Ash Flat Pharmacy.

The robbery happened around 5:00 p.m. The suspect was a male, wearing a gray Columbia hoodie, camouflage face mask, and a straw hat according to Sharp County Sheriff Mark Counts.

Counts said the man came into the pharmacy and asked the pharmacist for prescription medication and then showed the pharmacist a gun.

The pharmacist gave the man several bottles of medication.

The man the fled in a small, white four-door car south on Highway 167.
