Police and postal service hope to prevent doorstep thefts

LITTLE ROCK, AR (KAIT/KATV) -

The risk of shipping online purchases to your home is growing and that includes in Arkansas.

According to KATV, the Maumelle Police Department took a report of a woman stealing packages from a Maumelle doorstep.

The U.S. Postal Service told KATV because of incidents like this, they try to conceal packages left outside of homes, but what they can do depends on the company the package comes from.

    A Paragould family is a step closer to having their miniature horses living on their property as the city discussed an ordinance that would rezone their property from residential to agriculture. The property is located in the 3,000-block of Finch Road.
