JONESBORO, AR (KAIT) -

Burglars hit a sour note with the owner of Back Beat Music, 613 Southwest, after stealing three guitars valued at $4,500 each.

According to the initial incident report, someone broke into the store sometime before 9 p.m. Wednesday by breaking the front glass door.

Once inside, the crooks stole three wooden guitars. The owner, who reported the burglary, placed the value of each guitar at $4,500 for a total loss of $13,500.

A K9 unit tracked the possible suspects from the front door to the south side of the building. The canine then tracked east on Stroud before turning north onto Marlo Lane.

The track ended at a carport in the 600-block of Marlo, the report stated.

The officer returned to the store and ran another track. Again, the canine returned to the carport.

Anyone with information on this burglary should call Crimestoppers at 870-935-STOP (7867).
