STEELE, MO (KAIT) - A search by federal and local authorities on Thursday led to officers seizing a "substantial amount" of meth.
Agents with the Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives (ATF), along with the Missouri State Highway Patrol, Pemiscot County Sheriff's Department, and the Caruthersville and Wardell Police Departments executed a federal search warrant at a home on Liberty Street in Steele.
Chief Billy Joe Stanfield said officers found a "substantial amount of purported methamphetamine along with a firearm."
Stanfield said in a news release that the investigation is continuing and arrests are expected.
