GREENE COUNTY, AR (KAIT) - A Greene County woman called on sheriff's deputies after she found an unwanted dinner guest in her kitchen.
When Deputies Kaleb Pitcher and Mike Wess vowed to "protect and serve," they had no idea it would include snake removal.
But, that's exactly what they were called on to do Wednesday afternoon when a woman found this 5' snake curled under her kitchen table.
Deputy Pitcher grabbed hold of the snake and took it outside where he posed for a picture with his new scaly friend before setting it free.
Chief Deputy Rick Mellow told Region 8 News the sheriff's office receives one or two calls a year about snakes and other wildlife in homes.
One time, he said, deputies had to remove an opossum that got inside a woman's kitchen cabinet and gave birth.
