Jonesboro to Host "Northeast Arkansas Meth Summitt" Next Month

JONESBORO, AR - Jonesboro and Arkansas State University will host a luncheon featuring a panel of experts to discuss and answer questions regarding the impact of methamphetamine in Arkansas.

The event is set for 11:30 on June 7 at the ASU Fowler Center, and will be sponsored and co-hosted by Arkansans For Drug-Free Youth (ADFY) and Familes Incorporated Counseling Services.

The summit's panel will include State Representative Dustin McDaniel of Jonesboro, Circuit Court Judge David Laser, Sergeant Jim Chambers of the 2nd Judicial District Drug Task Force and others.

The summit is designed to provide a forum to discuss and present relevant information in regards in regards to the continued problems that meth brings to the state.  Participants will also be able to participate in a round-table discussion, in which they can ask questions for panelists to answer or discuss.

Tickets for the event are $50 per seat, with all proceeds benefiting ADFY and its mission.  More information is available by calling 1-888-313-0388.
