JONESBORO, AR (KAIT) -

Police are investigating the theft of four shotguns from a Jonesboro business early Tuesday morning.

Around 2:16 a.m. officers responded to an alarm call at The Gun Shop, 2414 E. Matthews.

Investigators say an unknown subject used a cinder block to break the store's glass front door and make entry.

Once inside, they stole four shotguns valued at $1,250.

The store's owner, Gary Gibbs, told police nothing else looked out of place. He said the suspects had "tried getting in the gun safe, as well."

Anyone with information that can help police solve this break-in should call Crimestoppers at 935-STOP (7867).
