Woman arrested in connection with break-ins, authorities say

MOUNTAIN HOME, AR (KAIT) - A case involving a stolen 5,000-pound winch has apparently broken with the arrest of a woman, Baxter County authorities said Tuesday.

Rebecca Rene Bryniarski of Mountain Home was arrested on suspicion of two counts of breaking or entering, theft of property and theft by receiving in connection with the case.

Baxter County Sheriff John Montgomery said authorities were investigating break-ins in at least three locations in and around Mountain Home. The winch with a cable breaking system was taken Nov. 6 from a shop building on Crawford Drive, while another break-in was reported Nov. 15 at a storage building on U.S. 62.

An antique metal car and a Chinese checkerboard were also taken from from a home on U.S. 62, Montgomery said.

A $10,000 bond was set Tuesday for Bryniarski, who was released from custody after posting bond. Bryniarski will appear in circuit court Dec. 8.
