AR police chief won't be investigated for speeding

BRINKLEY, AR (KAIT) - An Arkansas police chief accused of speeding will not face criminal charges.

According to a report by KATV, the Monroe County prosecuting attorney said he can only open an investigation into criminal matters and this case was under officer discretion.

In November, Region 8 News reported the Brinkley mayor wanted an investigation after Arkansas State Police dashcam video showed Brinkley Police Chief Ed Randle pulled over but not ticketed.

In the video, you can hear claims that Chief Randle was driving more than 100 miles per hour.
