LITTLE ROCK, AR (KAIT/KATV) - A state holiday celebrates two birthdays on Jan. 16, but one Arkansas city wants to get rid of one of them.
According to KATV, the Little Rock City Board passed a resolution Tuesday night to ask state lawmakers to repeal the controversial holiday commemorating General Robert. E. Lee and civil rights leader Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. on the same day.
Most city directors say they want to get rid of General Lee from the holiday.
